Coaches Corner

Interested in Coaching ?

St. Croix Hockey is continually looking to hire qualified coaches and help train current and former players for coaching. There are 3 Levels of Coaches in St. Croix Hockey:

1) Qualified Non-Parent Coaches: These are coaches with College / Junior or Professional Playing Experience or High Level Bantam or above Coaching Experience. Head Coaches are compensated and typically coach older Boys and Girls Teams (Bantam/U14 Teams) within St. Croix Hockey. Non-Parent Head Coaches are compensated.

2) Qualified Parent Coaches: These are experienced Association Level Youth Coaches. These Coaches typically have played High School Hockey or above and coach Squirt/U10 and PeeWee/U12 Teams during the regular season. Head Coaches qualify for a player rebate pending roster size.

3) Qualified Student Coaches: These are High School or College Students who are currently playing or have played at the High School or College Level. These coaches can be Head Coaches on our Youngest Teams or Assistant Coaches on older Teams. Student Coaches are provided a stipend as reimbursment for travel and other expenses associated with their coaching.  Student Coaches can qualify as Paid Non-Parent Coaches upon gaining the appropriate experience.

All head coaches receive a fleece pullover or jacket with their team logo, or two MN Twins tickets (lower level reserved).

St. Croix Hockey works with Team's schedules to allow for flexibility, thus minimizing schedule conflicts and allowing teams to participate in other non-SCH tournaments / activities.
