The 2007 St. Croix Hockey Season was a success in many aspects. Although Player Development is our focus, SCH provides opportunities for all of our participants to just have fun and give back to the community. Some 2007 Highlights included:
- March 2007: Clean-up Duty at XCEL Energy Center between sessions of the Boys State High School Hockey Tournament; AAA particpants were able to stay and attend the games for free.
- April 2007: Games at the XCEL Energy Center; AAA Teams opened the SCH off-season by playing each other on eth XCEL Center ice.
- April 2007: Inaugural U12 Challenge Cup Tournament;
- May 2007: Inaugural SPRING CLASSIC Hockey Tournament; included over 25 teams from 4 states (MN, WI, MI, and IA) competing in four age classifications.
- Aug 2007: 3rd Annual ST. CROIX CUP; included over 25 teams competing in four age classifications.
- September 2007: St. Croix 3-on-3 Hockey League; enjoyed its 3rd year as the only "half-ice" 3-on-3 league in the Metro. The 3-on-3 League is designed to "give the game back to the kids".
- October 2007: St. Croix Hockey Teams attended the MN Wild Home Opener (Oct 4th) vs the Chicago Blackhawks.
Through our collective efforts, our growing off-season hockey association was also able to give back to the community. Through your particpation, donations were made to 35W Bridge collapse victims; high school hockey programs, and Second Harvest Food Bank serving MN and Western WI.
